i have been having the exact same issue over the last year, we will usually get one of us getting invites and the other receiving invites, but neither of us will be able to connect to the other, then we will get invited again for a very short period of time, the invites will stop working again for a period of time and then again they will start working again.
we have tried to reinstall the game, we have tried to connect from different networks, we have tried to reinstall the game and connect from the same network, we have tried to connect using different computers to see if it would work, but we are still having the same issue.
we tried to record a video of the issue, but it never worked. we are still having the same issue.
i have already sent ubisoft an e-mail about this issue, and i have been sending multiple support cases about this issue, to be honest it was getting really bad and we just couldn’t play together anymore.
we are both on windows 10, we are both logged in, and we are both on the same network. we are on the same cable internet connection, two desktop pcs literally right next to each other and we still can’t connect together. i can see you and your wife on your computers, but the game just won’t send us invites.
we use all of the same mods, we use the latest update, we have tried to clear our internet cache, we have tried to change our internet gateway, and we have also tried to contact ubisoft. it just doesn’t work. we get the game invites to send invites to our friends, but we can’t connect to play together.
we have been trying to play anno together for years, i guess it just never worked, but it was getting to the point where we couldn’t play together anymore. we do not know if this is a game issue or a connection issue.
as i said before, i have sent an e-mail about this issue to ubisoft, and i have sent multiple support cases, but nothing seems to work.
i don’t know what else to do.
