How to expand options selected by the user in android?
Basically I have a list of 3 items and when user selects one of them, I want to expand and show the options for him/her to choose from.
I mean like this.
A:
This is what I did to accomplish this
Display a Select list in the main layout
When the user selects the option, an activity will be started.
In that activity, I have a list of options (These are just fake, but show what I am trying to explain)
I created an adapter class that extends the base adapter and overrides the getView() method
In the getView() method, I iterate through all the items (in the example, I have 3 items but can have more)
I check if the selected item is my desired item, if it is, I update the text of the selected item and the text of the visibility of my other items to make them all visible
If the selected item is not my desired one, I set the visibility of my other items to gone
