XML Deserialization XElement.Load() not loading items
I’m trying to use the code below to deserialize a lot of xml files into a project I am working on, but for some reason, the xelement.load() is only deserializing the first two xml nodes into my project. In fact, the xml is what is supposed to be loaded, but when the code is executed, all it does is create a folder on the disk. The second time the code is executed, it makes the third folder.

Any ideas as to why it is doing this? The documentation I have seen has not been very helpful to me as it does not state exactly what the first xelement is loading. If I do not use the.load() command, then it will work fine (as in, it will deserialize the xml file into the project as expected).

In case anyone else ever runs into this issue.
I ran into this problem, and after digging around I figured out that the issue had to do with the content of the xml file. I got it to work by removing all and tags from the xml file and adding an xml document root.
My solution was to set up a DTD, create a XDocument document, and then do this:
XDocument xdocument = new XDocument(new XDeclaration(“1.0”, “UTF-8”, “yes”),
new XComment(“Some text to comment out”));
xdocument.Root.Add(xElement);
This works for me. I did not see any documentation on this in the XElement documentation.
