A typical example of use is the ctrl_axis tool. This tool is set up in the property section. The drawing order will then be the order in which the settings appear.

Parameters can also be saved for future use. For example, in the workplane tool (from AutoLISP or Visual LISP) it is possible to define where a plane starts and where it ends.
