And of course, they’re rationalizing taking over the most vulnerable demographic of the whole country with the belief that we have so many ideas but so little time to share them with each other.

Angry white men don’t claim to be misunderstood. Angry white men claim to be made to feel insecure, to fear for the safety of those they love, to be threatened by the changing demographics of their own country.

They claim to be speaking on behalf of “the silent majority.” They use their real opinions of the world as a weapon against themselves, against women and minorities, against anyone who offends them with policy choices or political commentary.

They want to fight with us instead of with them.

They want the world as it was. They want everyone to think and say the exact same thing. They want to bring back this silly “Us Vs. Them” mentality. The “Us Vs. Them” mentality only perpetuates resentment, anger, and heartbreak.

And there is no “Us Vs. Them” mentality on the left. None. In fact, we’re all in this together, the left and the right. Both sides demand the same: we both must work together.

And it’s not that we have time for people. We have time for ideas.

The left is fighting for the worth of the human race.

But if white men were to be “left out” of that conversation about worth, I would tell them that their focus on worth or lack thereof, is harmful.
