since Bart updated to 5.2 we run into an inconvinient problem with the smart previews that are now part of the catalogue. The problem is that the preview needs to update for each image in the catalog (which takes up a lot of resources) then it becomes really slow and you can’t work in the application for a long time. Is there any way to disable the preview files in the catalogue so they are not updated with each image?

I’ve had a similar frustration, to Matt, with the relaunched LR for iPad Pro, launching Photoshop Sketch is so slow for me. After launching Photoshop Sketch and resuming Photoshop, I’m able to work in the Sketch functionality inside Photoshop, however, whenever I revisit Sketch (check images, comments, etc.) Photoshop Sketch becomes painfully slow again. Sometimes Sketch will lock up. If I go back into Photoshop, Sketch will eventually return to proper operation again. Given the Adobe design team intends this to be a web-based model for creative collaboration, I’m disappointed with the speed performance.
