once the harmony has been paired, you can choose which device to control by tapping the appropriate button on the harmony’s screen. if the harmony is paired to your device, you will be able to control it. if the harmony is paired to your phone, you will need to be in a position to receive the pairing request on your phone. you may need to have the phone in your pocket or bag, or in another location that is clearly visible to the harmony.
the harmony also has a built-in speaker and microphone, and can be used for general voice conversations. its range is pretty good, although it is not as good as the bluetooth headset that is bundled with the harmony. it is important to note that the harmony will not work if it is paired to a device that does not support bluetooth 4.0, as it will not be able to communicate with the device.
you can only update the driver through csr software. this is what i did and it worked fine. my harmony csr software was up to date and i had already used it to update all my other accessories. you must have up to date csr software (if not, you can use the setup_&_repair option in the csr software to update).
so i did it manually. i uninstalled the csr harmony and then i found the driver file on the tp link website. i opened it in my notepad and searched for the name i had seen in the windows 7 device manager. i copied the driver number i found and pasted it in the field on the csr site. that worked fine. i was then able to update my ub400 using the csr software.
does that adapter have the usb id and vendor id settings correct in the registry? i don’t think the harmony stack will work unless those are set correctly. the driver should have installed correctly if you can click update driver after installing the stack.
