The main frame is small and the clock is enhanced when you hover the mouse cursor, so you can get a better view on the actual time. The current month and day (in Roman numerals) are shown on the bottom right corner of the panel.
The clock's configuration is made from the Options panel, where you can hide the pendulum or date, disable the hourly chime or mute it at night (set custom hours), enable tick sounds on seconds, disable Roman numerals, as well as enable zoom mode at all times.
