because shravan has a good school education and learning about the basic principles of theology, he does not participate in the incredible displays of religious fervor that many religious people participate in, instead he is content to meditate on these principles as he practices his duties as a devoted family man. shravan metamorphoses from a street artist, to a religious man with a personal agenda, to a modern day, religious lawyer who defends the poor and disenchanted. will shravan help bring change to the lives of these people or will he continue to pursue his own interests? i think he will help the people of varanasi, which is his home, because he knows that they are the embodiment of his soul. this is the crux of his story.
