DAZ3D–Poser-Genesis-1 -2 – -3-Starter-Essentials-Bundle
This new bundle of goodness helps you to get started with Genesis 3 and DAZStudio 4.5. It gives you a varied selection of characters with different styles and colouring that comes with over 40 cloth packs for realistic hair and cloth and over 60 anatomy and skin packs for making them look even more realistic.
Full Morphs are morphs that can morph other morphs to create a unique character. They can be made from other figures, given to you as a gift, or bought from the store. In this set of starter essentials you will get the base morphs for three different full morphs. These can then be combined with other clothing and textures to create some very unique characters. The female morphs for Genesis 2 were created by me, so they are really easy to apply to you character, but I hope they will inspire you to create your own figure and morph.
Male Gen4 Full Morphs. These are morphs that allow you to morph any Gen4 male morphs (which are sex-specific, so for Genesis 4, you will get some male Gen4 morphs). These morphs can then be combined with other clothing and textures to create some very unique characters. These can be used by you or others (and will still work with female Genesis morphs, too, so you can give them to others and they will still work).
The Daz Studio files for the 3 characters will NOT work with the Daz Studio zip file – only the.OBJ,.DAZ, and.SU4 files will work with either the version of Daz Studio you are using or any other version. The DazStudio zip file is the full version (i.e. no trial version of Daz Studio) but its a free download if you don’t have Daz Studio already.
Well, the little lion has its teeth in this thread. You are going to see my renders and samples created with the Genesis 2 morph at least to start. The free bundle seems to be working out well for me. I do not know about you but I am really looking forward to its release.
The tutorial video just posted by Dimension3D shows that he is actively working on the pending issues for Poser 7 and Genesis 2. The Poser 7 issues with Gen2F are still not resolved, but the issue with female clothes being greyed out when using Genesis 2 on Female figures is coming up.
Back to the package bundles, the Christmas Christmas Bundles are nice. The outfits are of good quality, and will work in a variety of situations. The textures sets are nice too. Hair gives some great variety as well. For me I think the Christmas bundles are for Christmas, but they can be used year round to create some nice holiday images. Maybe it is the way I add a Christmas picture on my desktop?
Vitali from ProCreateShop has posted a video tutorial on how to use DSON to convert Genesis into Poser (including using the V4 textures on the characters). It takes a bit of understanding and practice, but just getting the anatomy, clothing and pose dials working in Poser will be a great start.
I can only speak to the issues I have with Poser 7 and Genesis 2. For Poser 7, Dimension3D is planning to not only make crossfader compatible with Poser 7, but is also hoping to fix the issues Poser 7 has with Gen2 female. For Poser 7, there is a lot of work needed and there is no date when Dimension3D would expect to release the product. I asked about the work that still needs to be done with Poser 7 and Dimension3D said: At this time I really dont have a plan to fix the Poser 7 issues with Gen2F, but hopefully I can find a solution for that soon. The work with Poser 7 isnt done yet.
