His name was Hisnul Adly, and he was the son of the Sufi Sheikh Abu Mansoor Muhammad. Abu Mansoor Muhammad came to him and said: ‘O my son! Return home and there is no need for you to stay any longer. However, if you like, you can come back again.’ At this, Hisnul Adly replied: ‘Let us come back to the Kaaaba!’ and the sheikhs accompanied him. When the Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) returned and found them, he said: ‘What is wrong with you people that you would drive the son of Abu Mansoor Muhammad away from the side of Allah the Omniscient? What has He (Allah) promised you? Why are you so afraid that you do not want to give him a chance to return?’ Now the sheikhs heard the words of Allah’s Apostle (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam), they left and followed him, and Hisnul Adly returned to them, and they returned to their own homes. Abu Mansoor Muhammad asked him to come to him. Hisnul Adly came to him and said: ‘I have returned because I have been given the good news of your ascension to the rank of Prophethood.’ The sheikhs, however, felt sad. Abu Mansoor Muhammad asked him: ‘Why are you upset?’ He replied: ‘I am afraid of Abu-L-Kasif,’ and his father said: ‘There is nothing wrong with him, because he did not dislike my son at the beginning of my prophethood. He came to me and asked me to allow him to take the oath of allegiance, but I asked him to be patient with me until my son gets closer to Islam, so that he would have a chance to consult me and I would be able to be of service to him. Now he came to me and said: “I will send my son back to his homeland, but I hope that he is patient with me. My mother is now ill and I don’t have the means to take care of her, and I have to travel. I will send another son of mine to be the caretaker of my mother. However, I am afraid of Abu-L-Kasif”, and I said: ‘There is nothing wrong with him, because he did not say it at the beginning of my prophethood.”‘Abu Mansoor Muhammad felt love for his son and said to him: ‘The Prophet of Allah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and Allah are with you. Why don’t you want to live among those who live in this world, and why don’t you want to follow me and my children?’ Hisnul Adly replied: ‘Let me fulfill your wish and be patient with you and your family until your death.
