Of all the games that I have heard about so far, all I can think about this game is… DEEP. You can be the berserker, the mage, the priest or any combination you can think of, and the game will likely be more than happy to provide a load of customization options to go with it. Because of the stellar customization options, I was quickly able to come to terms with the main concept of this game: play your way. That may sound like an all-inclusive statement, but it’s true, and I didn’t even know it until I played.

In my first hour of playing, I ended up leveling up a character that worked a lot better with a longsword and shield that my basic character, but I also came to the decision to build a shaman that could use a bow for ranged attacks, and a rogue that could use a backstab. The progression system here is fairly easy to understand, you just level up when you kill enemies, and that’s it, rinse and repeat. The jobs you can take are all well designed and all necessary for specific situations.

I’ll be honest, I had never seen this concept of randomly generated abilities in a game before, but I was surprised by how well that worked. I’m not necessarily talking about the active abilities, which you can now customize, I’m talking about the items you’ll be using as your starting equipment that you get through quests, and the progression system. Your skill points get used up quickly when leveling, and you have a lot of abilities to choose from, and it’s all very well presented.
