Gifted

Gifted is a principle of the Gifted Education Movement.
It was first defined in 1956 and re-described in 1991 as “an acknowledgement of those individuals whose capabilities exceed the average range for people of their age and a confidence in the possibility of each individual’s achievement”

Masters, Gifted, and Able

Masters, Gifted, and Able (MGA) is a theory of gifted education articulated by Betty Miller and Eugene Schmalz in 1981. It asserts that there is a continuum of giftedness. It was developed to complement the theory and practice of classroom intervention that aims to identify and provide resources to children, and families who possess capabilities well above the average range for those of the same age and socioeconomic background.

How To Find The Gifted

Find the gifted by using a tool like the Myers-Briggs. It will tell you what area and what personality characteristics are missing in your child. The Myer-Briggs can help determine if a person is a natural in a particular area of life.
