i used to use kerkythea in su2014 and i know it works there. now i am running su2017 and i didnt need any updates, so i downloaded the latest version from the developer’s website. i guess i just dont know what to do after installing it. do i need to extract the folder (just drag the folder to your extensions folder)? should i just copy the.jar files to my program files folder? what should i do with the.rbz file i just extracted? do i need to install a launcher or just run the program from the extensions folder? do i need to install the extension? should i create a shortcut on my desktop or start the program from the extensions folder?
in the animation folder, there is a.kst script for each of the frames. each of those frame script files has an.xml file. you need to edit those xml files to tell kerkythea how to render the frames. the pattern is usually merge a frame-definition (xml) file, render the frame, save the frame. if you keep the first few lines intact, you can delete groups of merge/render/save commands to avoid rendering those frames.
that only indicates you have at some point installed sketchup 2021 and windows is still associating.rbz files with that version. that doesnt mean it wont work in sketchup 2017 make. since you are using sketchup as a hobbyist and sticking with su2017, maybe you should remove su2021 from your computer and cleanup any traces of it including in the registry. then run the su2017 make installer again (right click and use run as administrator) to make sure windows only sees that version.
