The Multiple Slit Diffraction Model Full Crack is a Java based application designed to simulate Fraunhofer Diffraction through single and multiple slits. The scale of the diffraction pattern can be easily changed and the diffraction pattern can be quickly viewed by toggling a checkbox.

The user can view the diffraction pattern in both polar form and in a rectangular plot.

The application shows the top and bottom diffracted beams and any intermediate beams as well.

The user can view the output either in tabular or list format.

The user can manually edit the table if necessary.

The program is still in development. Initial testing has shown that my mathematical method of splitting into multiple consecutive integer-value harmonic functions works, but I will need some advice as to the best way to split the continuous harmonic functions into smaller “multi-slits” functions, that I can then use the integer values of each function to simulate the diffraction pattern.
In addition, I am looking for advice on how to make the canvas itself more fluid and find the best location for the checkbox (eg. below or to the left of the canvas)

The application can now be downloaded from GitHub.

The first version is the “Alpha” version (aka the release) with no checkbox or manual configuration of slits. The program will run and produce a 5 x 5 grid of slits and a single slit in the center.
You are free to change the number of slits, the slit width, the slit separation and the wavelength of the incident light. You can also modify the scale and change toggled plotting of the light intensity.

I am currently developing this as a hobby, and I do not expect it to be finished anytime soon. In the meantime, I would be more than happy to hear your opinions on which parts of the application need improvement. I will keep this page updated as I make progress and create new versions.

Overall, this seems to be a really nice app. I don’t mean this in the ‘oh wow, that’s cool’ way, but in the ‘that’s really neat’ way.
Your checkbox is a bit… off, here’s why: It’s in the middle, but there’s no way to change the “location of the mouse cursor” on the screen. Sure, you can fix that by making a button and arranging it so that it looks like a checkbox, but that’s a design decision that I don’t think really matters much. What matters is that people understand that that’s what it is. They’re not technically selecting checkboxes, they’re selecting it as something else. Changing the location of the mouse cursor is just a small hint for people that the control might not be what it seems (or does).
Overall design decision: a single line has an explicit meaning. If you’re using it as a control, it should not have more than one meaning. Your checkbox does.
