The Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Audio Device Driver for Windows XP is designed for a computer running Microsoft® Windows XP. The Creative X-Fi device driver provides optimized functionality for the most current Windows XP operating system and is recommended for the application.
The x-fi driver supports many Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Audio Device features including surround sound, Dolby® Home Theater v4, and 7.1 virtual sound. The Creative X-Fi Device Driver is a Windows Vista operating system compatible version.
The Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi device driver contains the latest service and device update information. If service and device updates are available for the Creative X-Fi Audio Device, a system restart will be required.
It is recommended that you install the latest service and device update, which may be downloaded from the Creative website or via Windows Update when it is released. Restart is required after installing updates to ensure all features and capabilities of the Creative X-Fi Audio Device work correctly.
The Creative x-fi Driver is intended for use with the Sound Blaster X-Fi PCI card, and is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7. Using it with other X-Fi devices and other operating systems is not supported and may cause audio issues.
