This application is a Matlab version of the existing widely used Java version but I have extended the functionality and added some new features.

1. New Features:

a. The Wavefunctions for initial state with zero are
changed. The new default wavefunctions are = 0 and = 0,
respectively.
b. We now include the inclusion of the pinhole visualization:

2. GUI Changes:
a. The application is packaged with a new window design.
b. Two new views are included – One view is the PNG view showing the
initial wavepacket. The other is a window showing the pinhole
view, including the wavepacket being visualized, a pinhole, a
pinhole camera, and a 3D graphics figure.

3. Changes in functionality:

a. New command: “EvolveWavepacket” (Shift-Ctrl-E) executes the
evolution of the wavepacket in the position space. The starting
rectangle of the wavepacket is selected and the time evolution
displayed. The position of the wavepacket can be easily modified
with the mouse.

b. New command: “ShowPinholeView” (Shift-Ctrl-P) shows the
pinhole view, including the wavepacket being visualized, the pinhole, a pinhole camera, and a 3D graphics figure.

4. New calculations:
a. The momentum space wavefunction is now calculated with
the standard initial distribution of the particle in momentum
space, while the position-space wavefunction is calculated with
the standard initial distribution of the particle in
position space.
b. Both the momentum and position-space wavefunctions are now
normalized.
c. The new pinhole display is based on a probabilistic model.
The new pinhole is based on a pinhole camera model [Li et al
2000]. The internal quantities such as focal length, field of
view, aperture, focal spot, and pinhole diameter can be

I know my brain has developed the mindshare necessary to know how much pain you are in when watching a volta match (still!) and that you learn about drivers before the race due to my awesome fandom of Max.

Wavefunctions can be constructed from the initial position of particles by using the initial positions input.
