Prosonic Studios Major And Minor Arpeggio Patterns MIDI
the files have timestretches of 3, 6, and 11. the smaller set has 4/4 and the larger set has a mix of 4/4 and 3/4. this can be easily set for any project. the 1 and 2 are the genre sets. this tells you the rhythm of the notes. beats and bpms (beats per minute) etc. it’s always best to have a system of creating your own melodies using the arpeggios. but, most times that’s too much work. these are already pre-composed and already mixed with the perfect harmonies and tonal color. just choose the ones you want and mix and match them together. though, if you really want to change something. use 3rd party midi editors like those from kontakt or impulse tracker.
the scales chosen for the sets are in root position (based on the note names provided at the beginning of the pattern). the choice in major or minor allows you to have the choice to move to different key signatures. for example, the major set is in g major scale, but in the minor set it’s in c major. this means that in this major set you have a tonal palette with a major, f major, e major, d major, etc. in the minor set, it’s in c major, but d dorian, b locrian, a phrygian, etc.
music sequencing wise, the set has some tunes. but, they have more options than i’ll list here for brevity. (also, if you really want to sequence them, i have a cool set of patterns on github and you can use them under the creative commons cc0 license.)
