PHP $_FILES doesn’t upload photos
I am trying to upload a jpg file to server using this simple code:
$output = fopen(‘upload/’. $_FILES[“img”][“name”], “r”);
fpassthru($output);
It’s not working. (The script is on a remote server)
I also tried this:
$output = fopen(‘upload/’. $_FILES[“img”][“tmp_name”], “r”);
fpassthru($output);
But the same result.
So, the file is not uploaded.
The contents of the img file are:

The code is on a remote server so it is not possible to use ftp_nb_fput.
However I did get a clue.
If I access the php script from the server the script works.
If I access the script from my own pc which accesses the server the script doesn’t work.
Now I need to find out why this is happening.

Maybe you don’t have write permissions set up on the target directory?

ftp_nb_fput() fails for the same reason.
If your script is on a remote server, use ssh.

Make sure you’ve set up permissions on the folder to allow file uploads.
Another reason could be that it requires you to change the php.ini to allow php to upload files or change it’s access rights.
