Indoorlands is a team based 4×4 driving game with real in-game currency where players represent their own team driving on a virtual 3D track. What’s new in RealMyst: Masterpiece Edition:
Some time ago, the artist contacted me to develop a digital artbook with all the mediums I have created and modelled. Part of this project is the creation of a cover image with the artworks, and the artwork alone. So, with all that in mind, I start doing the concept, mix white and invert colours with the artistic “chemistry” and some “guesswork.” I’m in the wrong place, going, “What the hell…?”
With that awesome cover image in mind, I spend two weeks to continue mixing colours and then… to hell! There are some places that would need an artistic touch, and this would be one of those. I can make some adjustments, change colours, add other artefacts in places that are needed to have an attractive cover, but that’s about it. The first actions are done with a wooden pointer, then in photoshop, a brush, a pencil and a pen.
The idea is to make a very cool cover to be a kind of vintage analogue artbook, like the originals years ago. The inspiration I have in mind comes from all the vintage design found in antique shops.
I spend a very long time to get more ideas for the project, and to find ways to make the cover image in photo-mode-safe for digital artists, because Digital Art ideas are searched to be original, easy to do with some analogic tricks and… a bunch of time.
I must pre-warn you that this is a large project. You are probably going to spend as much as you budgeted, this is an ancient analogue era of 8 years, and the artwork are over 1200 pixels wide, so…
It is time to salute for all the artists who help this project, because I listen every advice you will give me.
The further I develop and tweak my cover image, there will be slight changes. The more I do them, the more I will have time to post them here for all those “seeing” it. And eventually there will be digital artbook artists who will make it out of curiosity, and/or clients that want the artbook, and… than you will have this great artbook.
