i love sourcetree! its the best mac app out there. but, i can never get the commit window to focus. when i click commit, its just a black box with white text that i cannot read. i tried changing the colour of the text to white, and it doesn’t do anything. i’ve tried rebooting, log out and log back in, and nothing has worked. this means i can’t commit my changes. please tell me there’s a way to change this so i can make commits.

so i deleted the folder and installed version 1.6 again. install completed and works fine. i can even delete the folder from this version. this seems to suggest that there is some sort of setting (registry perhaps) that prevents sourcetree from modifying the folder. so i guess i’ll need to find out how to change that setting to at least allow me to delete the folder. i’ve found the setting. it seems to be in a location that sourcetree doesnt like me editing. i can only change the default location, but thats it. so i guess i’ll need to figure out how to change that. after all, i cant delete the folder!
i’ve downloaded and installed. seemed to work fine. i started sourcetree and tried to delete the folder. i got the error: the operation could not be completed. unknown error. this is odd because i checked the default location for the program data folder in the registry and found it at the path i set. i cant change that, so that must be the reason. i guess i need to find out how to change that. i’m sure it’s just a registry key somewhere. i’ll keep looking.
so, i’m back to square one. the default location for the programdata folder is where it needs to be for sourcetree to work, but i cant change that setting. i’ve searched the registry for that key, and it seems to be set in the following location:
i need to change that registry setting to allow me to delete that folder. i’ve tried deleting the folder from sourcetree, but that doesnt seem to work. im guessing the setting in the registry that blocks my ability to delete that folder is overriding my ability to delete the folder.
