Spartacus War Of The Damned S03e01 1080p On Torrent Kickass
the only way i could say this week’s episode wasn’t good, is that it lacked the shock of the previous week’s. some people might want to make that argument, and i agree. but i prefer not to use those as the only reasons for enjoyment. the atmosphere of gladiators in capua as they prepare for the games was not too dissimilar to that of the panicking slaves in the last episode, though there were moments when it did descend a little too close to actually being the games. perhaps that was intentional, but it also makes it not stand out from the rest of the season. everything here might be an episode later in the series, but it still falls under the same guidelines, and just feels a little off to me.
however, the episode still did a good job of a variety of characters, which i always liked about this show. a lot of the complaints were due to the ending being somewhat of a road movie, which i like about the series. the episode left open a multitude of intriguing plotlines: cerco is still a wanted man in the state; batiatus is looking to make the best of the moment; spartacus is now a gladiator looking for redemption. so no matter which way you look at it, there’s still plenty to do.
while spartacus isn’t necessarily the best thing in the world, there are still plenty of interesting people, intriguing situations and good drama. this series may not be as long as some people think, but its still entertaining, and hopefully the characters and situations have enough time to develop and evolve over the rest of the season.
spartacus might get to taste freedom one last time, but the episode ends with a familiar note: its not freedom for all. there are still gladiators being held, most of them roman, and theyre probably coming soon to a screen near you.
