**Get ready for the real VR equivalent of adventure games. “Eternal Starlight VR” is a 5-part game where you start your journey to stop a villain from awakening the darkness in the stars, but can you make it through the game in one go?** In “Eternal Starlight VR” you’ll start your adventure in a castle. Your goal is to collect the four Constellations to open the door to the next room, and collect the gems inside. Luckily you have a handful of companions with you and even a trusty fishing rod to help you along the way. To make things a bit easier, you’ll only have to collect the white circles and navigate between the four playable maps. Don’t worry, you can always look around the room from every position you’re in. **Gameplay** The game uses a first-person view (FPS). To navigate, you’ll have to turn to your side in order to watch your friends, or turn to your back in order to watch the whole map. Turning was a bit awkward in the last room, but you’ll get used to it. Once you open the door to the next room, you’ll also have to find your companions. You can walk around the room and look at them from every point, so it is recommended to explore the whole map. When you’re looking at your companions, you’ll be able to give them hints and tips to help them along. You can also click on them to open a dialogue option in the options menu. Once you’ve got everyone together, you can open the door to the next room. In the next room you have to follow the instructions in the glowing square to collect the gems. This year’s two festival flops from the ‘Lost in Translation’ director weren’t particularly bad, but they weren’t particularly good either. And though neither might have been as good as ‘Lost in Translation‘, each has its own charms; ‘The Bling Ring‘ is a darkly comic psycho-thriller and ‘Marie Antoinette’ a moving contemporary anti-aristocratic drama.
Neither of these extremes was enough to win Coppola any Oscars (she lost for ‘Lost in Translation‘, despite the film’s biggest success), but they did remind us of a few things. Neither is a particularly great movie, but they serve as a reminder that an adapted screenplay like ‘Lost in Translation’ isn’t necessarily going to be a good one. They also remind us of Sofia Coppola’s talent and why ‘Lost in Translation‘ wasn’t just her worst film, but part of one of the best features in recent years, not just movie criticism, but film itself.
Those who’ve seen ‘Lost in Translation‘ will be familiar with ‘Marie Antoinette’, since Coppola’s version is an amalgamation of További’s lavish costume drama, inspired by the protests that rocked France in the late 18th Century, and the tales of the deposed Queen herself, written by Tony Bennett and inspired by the life of the real Flora Tristan.
