i have tried all the steps above but it is to no avail. i also installed the drivermax to check for the usb update. it is all updated.
it was working fine last week, it just happened this week that when i plugged in the cable, the computer seemed not to detect anything. i restarted my phone and laptop, but it is also the same, fyi, it is still charging my phone, just it doesnt detect my phone.
thank you very much for your help! i downloaded the driverfix tool and ran it. it started installing the driver, and it was almost finished when i received the message that it failed, and that there were error messages to display. i clicked ok, and was given the option to try again or go to the log file. i chose to go to the log file. here is the log file:

I am using Windows 10 too but I can only test it on my tablet, because desktop is not available for me. Anyway, I can tell that the version of driver you provided me is 5.00.01.09. Some posts mention of version 6.00.00.20 but I cant find it anywhere. I think the latest version that should be stable for my ASUS z120 is 6.00.00.23. I will try again and compare your driver version with mine.
Asus X750 has a a lot of issues that can be solved with different approach in different OSes. Ive never used this laptop with any Linux and only tried it once on Windows XP and the touchpad control buttons worked. Ive got a workaround for disabling touchpad on Asus X750 Series. Some later Asus models do not have touchpad on this laptop and need the driver provided by Asus for your model. As for this laptop there are no OS drivers that work as well, we must make a custom post for driver.
I cant get the modem to connect to the internet in ubuntu 14.04. I have huawei E585 usb modem. I have installed several drivers. The drivers provide a decent telephone line with which I can make calls.
I am running Windows 7 and I cannot use the Fn + F12 function to display the three monitor settings because it is greyed out. The three monitors are displayed but there is no three display function included.
I’m trying to install Windows 7 from my USB stick (I wanna use w7 on the same computer), which is obviously a rather stupid thing to do, but I’m having trouble with my new Windows installation not reading any USB drives, or at least my USB stick. I have an 8GB stick, formatted FAT32. I ran USB HP and it just found my stick – no problem there.
