VIRTINS Pocket Oscilloscope is based on the Virtual Instrument framework. It runs under Pocket PC 2002 or above with ARM/XScale CPU (such as StrongARM or PXA270). The waveform is displayed in a form of 2D polar or rectangular grid. Each sample point is represented by a dot in the polar or rectangular grid.
There are 2 kinds of views in this software, the real time waveform view and the Lissajous pattern view.
A real time waveform view displays 2 channels of input data simultaneously. Each channel’s data can be displayed either in polar or rectangular format. A 2D polar or rectangular grid with 256 dots on the screen is used to display the data. The color of the dots is configurable. The numbers of dots are configurable (default is 256 dots).

An Lissajous pattern view displays 1 channel of input data by a Lissajous pattern. When the oscilloscope detects a trigger event (either on the leading edge or on the trailing edge), the phase of a pair of sinusoidal waves will be displayed on the screen. The triggert time interval, the number of points to be displayed per scan (that is the length of the sinusoidal waveform) and the Lissajous phase are configurable.

The measurement data can be saved as WAV file or TXT file. It can be imported for display and analysis. The waveform data are displayed in the same manner as the input data. You can use the measurement data as a trigger source. You can either choose the periodic sampling trigger or the open trigger trigger.
When you measure the input signal, the voltmeter will be displayed along the X axis. You can customize the scale of the voltmeter in the “OPTIONS” menu. You can customize the voltmeter in the “Options” menu.
