In order to calculate the end to end audio (frequency) fade on your RD-8825/8815 it is useful to know the link power, and sensitivity of each radio being used for communication. A high level of radio link power will ensure a higher clarity of audio, as will a high radio sensitivity to ensure good fidelity of audio signal at the receivers end.
We’re just two guys and we wanted to make a simple, small and user-friendly software application to calculate the end to end audio fade on your RD-8825/8815 without the need to purchase anything.
The software was developed as an ideal solution for a newcomer to the world of FM airborne link with a 6 dB loss of audio signal compared to pure CW communication. We are fully aware that there are other alternative ways to calculate the end to end audio fade on your RD-8825/8815 but we wanted a simple, small and user-friendly software application to calculate the end to end audio fade on your RD-8825/8815 without the need to purchase anything.
Can you imagine having to calculate the end to end audio fade on your RD-8825/8815 simply by entering the link power values? That’s exactly what you have to do with an old-school method.
Enter any link power values in decibels and push the “calculate range” button. The results will be displayed in the information window on the lower right corner.
In this screenshot, the output of the RD-8815/8825 will be displayed after pressing the “calculate range” button. The calculation process will be more or less the same even if you have more than one (dual) receiver, so there is no need for any chart.
To get the link power in dBm for example, you enter e.g. 5 in decibels and press the “calculate range” button. The application will automatically calculate the end to end audio fade based on the receiver’s Rx sensitivity, link power and the gain of the antenna and the software will display the result in the information window.
The application can be launched in two different ways:
– Clicking on the application’s desktop icon
– Selecting the file “Z-LinkCalc Full Crack.exe” from Windows/Start menu or Windows/Search programs and clicking on the “Open” button on the desktop icon of the application.
