Hello! I know the publishing of the game is still TBA, but I’ve been having a blast sitting down and brainstorming this world with @czamonza and @shroomsprites. So, I wanted to take a moment to take a very, very detailed deep dive into the world. This will be updated to one unified, master plan build of everything from TrickyJack’s perspective, but for now, I’ll tackle one part of the world at a time.

The graphics are nothing special, but they are decently drawn in a way that is easy on the eyes, and I was impressed by the number of assets present in the game, even for its targeted game audience, which I consider to be quite limited. There are 9 playable characters to choose from, and each character has at least 3 variations to unlock. The story is divided into chapters, and each chapter is usually a few hours in length. The game also has many elements that are standard for a JRPG, including a menu UI that is simple and easy to use, a multitude of crafting elements that are quite fun, the ability to transform into a dragon (aka “mount”) which is used to travel the lands, an overworld map you can explore, and monsters you can encounter. One particular element of note in the game is the fact that the action in the game takes place on the world map, as opposed to a battlefield. The heroes are sent out on quests from locations scattered across the map. The goal of the quest is not to defeat a boss by killing it, but rather to destroy portions of the map so that the area behind it becomes accessible. While the game has many combat elements, the player is not required to engage in direct combat in order to complete the quests.
