“But we will continue our policy of encouraging all our people to travel to various parts of the world.”
The spokesman added that between 2000 and 2010, more than 72,000 Indian tourists visited Pakistan, which received $0.52 billion from India in tourism, which is up 46% over the previous year.
The Dalai Lama, 78, will be the first Chinese speaker to visit Pakistan, the spokesman said. He had previously visited countries including Turkey, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Malaysia.Enochs
