Every version of Photoshop released since the first one in 1990 has come with the benefit of never losing functionality and never losing support. It is estimated that about two thirds of all Photoshop users still use the standard version, CS2.
To begin with Photoshop CS2, download a 30-day trial version of Adobe Photoshop CS2 Standard from `www.adobe.com/products/photoshop`. (Go directly to the Photoshop home page at www.adobe.com/products/photoshop and follow the links.) Keep in mind that Photoshop CS2 Standard (or standard, as Adobe calls it) is version 9.0. It isn’t the only one available. CS3 Standard is version 10.0, and CS4 Standard is version 11.0.
Seeing the screen
Photoshop offers a default workspace of four windows of which only one (the main window) is visible at any given time. In the figure on the left in Figure 15-1, all four windows are visible.

The first window is the background and is the canvas for your images. The second window is where you can drag your cursor around your image. The third is where you see the selection tool controls, and the fourth is the area for tool settings. To toggle among these windows, click the small icon in the lower-right corner of the Photoshop window (refer to Figure 15-1).
You need to think about your image sizes because each of the four windows has a specific minimum image size requirement that ensures that all the tools work as you would expect. These image sizes are shown in Figure 15-2.
If you want to create a smaller version of an image, you may need to decrease the number of pixels in any given window. After you resize an image, Photoshop tries to keep the ratio of the old image to the new one correct. For example, if you make the height shorter, the width is decreased proportionately. You can always change the Width/Height option later.

The image width and height in the Background window are directly related to the image size in the other three windows. That means you can resize a single image many times within your workspace before you need to resize the image in any of the other three windows.

Basic Photoshop Elements Editing
The first thing you’ll need to know is what to do when you open an image in Photoshop Elements.
You have three main options.

You can zoom in or out with the Zoom tool. Drag the cursor over the image to grab more or less of the image and move it around the screen. You can also pan through the image by holding down the Shift or Ctrl key and moving the mouse.
You will also need to know how to crop images. You have a few different options for crop selections in Photoshop Elements.
Choose the Crop tool and press down on the tool to make a selection. Select a rectangular area and click and drag to make a crop selection. The most common method of crop selection is to first select a rectangular area from the tool and then hold down the Alt key to move the selection to its center.
When you have the main window open, you’ll also need to know how to rotate and flip an image. You can do this in two ways.
Using the rotate tool, select the Rotate tool, and then click and drag in the Image window to rotate an image. You can also click on the red line in the corner of the window to specify an angle. Click the red line again to cancel a rotation.
The flip tool does the same as the rotate tool but you can specify the flip

How to add Product to Inventory?
I have a view where I want to have two options, Add to Order and Add to Inventory.
If the user selects Add to Order, I want it to go to the Order creation form. I also want to have a button on the Add to Inventory page, that, when clicked, would run a function and store the Order in the product inventory.
How can I go about doing this?
