The new fantasy action RPG, “Elden Ring,” has begun developing by Androsoft. The RPG is based on the legendary Fantasy series “Final Fantasy Tactics” (known in North America as “Tales of Symphonia”). The combat system is reminiscent of “Final Fantasy VIII.”
“Elden Ring” boasts a complex battle system with a visual and tactical design unlike any other game. Its epic story begins in a world torn by civil war. You are a lord who faces the destruction of your homeland and the defection of your closest friend. You must find the enemy’s base and exact your revenge.
In an RPG, the gameplay is divided between simple actions, such as choosing a menu item, and sophisticated actions, such as searching for a skill-related item or thinking before acting. The game is based on the sophisticated actions that distinguish it from other RPGs.
“Elden Ring” is also the first RPG to combine the two systems: The tactical view that lets you see the entire battle and the world around you, and the high-level view that gives you a bird’s eye view of the battlefield. You can freely switch back and forth, switching between actions with the touch of a button.
Furthermore, “Elden Ring” features a vast world that changes every time you take a turn. The world of “Elden Ring” is a combination of large-scale maps and small-scale map elements, namely dungeons. In large-scale maps, a gigantic map that changes depending on the situation, and a world map that shows the whole world and your character’s position in the world are continuously displayed on the upper left side of the screen. In small-scale maps, there are floor plans showing the front of all areas in a large-scale map, and the map overlaid on a small area, showing the location of objects such as enemies and items that can be used. The entire world is connected in this way and there is no break in the action.
NOTE: The development of “Elden Ring” is going on quite rapidly, and some developments might not be reflected in the screenshots of this preliminary version.

As a side note..As for the Korg AS-1K. I love that instrument, I’m not sure if I’d want to consider it a bar none approach to the Supra “STEVE” because of the lack of stability…but it sure is a ride! The AS-1K honestly sells for $700, and for me it is one of those instruments I really wanted to love, but I don’t. I like the key bedding, and I can play very easily, but the lack of full harmonization is indicative of the fact I would get bored with pretty quickly if this was my only synth!
