When I was looking at the Elden Ring Serial Key video I didn’t know anything about it, so I clicked play on the video and started it. I’m currently playing the opening area, and it was pretty. I was looking forward to more open world content like this, but it’s too early for it to feel like real content in my opinion.
The game will be similar to our previous “Storm the Castle” or “Return of the King” games, and I’m excited for it. Still, the game isn’t even out yet and I can’t imagine all the bug issues that will hit release day. I’m getting a little ahead of myself though, so I’ll address that in a second.
The developers have said they are working on getting everything fixed up right now, but it’s still early days. As of right now though, the graphical bugs and controls are a bit off. Specifically the camera sometimes doesn’t stay centered, which can lead to problems that are very annoying. The hit detection is also messed up, which can make what would seem like a very harmless attack knock you right back as you walk or jump. The game needs a lot of bugs fixed, and I’m sure they will.
Generally, the game is very beautiful. Like the campaign map, it has a lush artistic style that’s reminiscent of older fantasy games. The fact that some of the areas look incredible, especially the dungeons, is what got me really interested in the game.
The combat in the game is a bit too easy for my tastes. It’s hard to hit your opponent, it’s difficult to even see them, and everything they do seems to be just as easy as when I fight someone who isn’t wearing armor. It’s hard to tell how the actual combat is going to be because at the moment it’s not offering much challenge. I’d like to believe that I’m wrong, but right now I’m not. The camera in general is also hard to maneuver, leading to the camera just getting in the way of you. I don’t think I’m the only one that feels that way as some of the gameplay mechanics seem like a cheat because they require you to be directly
